Tattoo Aftercare
Care Guide
Your tattoo is a work of art on your skin, and proper aftercare is what keeps it beautiful for years to come. Here's everything you need to know.
Wash Gently
Wash the tattoo 2-3 times daily with mild fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel — never rub.
Apply Moisturizer
Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer (like Aquaphor or Bepanthen) 2-3 times a day. Don't overdo it.
Don't Re-wrap
After removing the initial wrap (4-6 hours), don't cover the tattoo again. The skin needs to breathe.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Don't expose the tattoo to direct sunlight for at least 2-3 weeks. After healing, always use SPF50+ sunscreen.
Avoid Soaking
Don't swim in pools, the sea, or hot tubs and avoid baths until fully healed (4-6 weeks). Short showers only.
Don't Scratch or Peel
The tattoo will naturally flake during healing. It's crucial not to scratch, peel, or pick at it. Let the skin heal on its own.
Wear Loose Clothing
Wear loose, comfortable clothes that don't stick to or rub against the tattoo. Prefer natural fabrics like cotton.
